WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT: Dancer Chloe Knapton, 21, (left) was left bleeding on the pavement in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, after Andrew Shires (right) smashed a vodka bottle into her car window - shattering glass in her face, neck and shoulder. She was told by medics that a shard of glass came within centimetres of the jugular vein in her throat. The dance teacher was left 'shocked' after Recorder Peter Babb today handed Shires, 37, a one-year jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, saying that he had been 'provoked'. Ms Knapton said she was 'disgusted' by decision to allow him to walk free, before saying she wanted to go home and have a 'good cry'.
